Obituary

CASTLEBERRY, DAVID LOWRY, 25, of Richardson, Texas, died August 15, 1996. Youngest of three sons, he was a courageous lifetime warrior battling neurofibromatosis and scolosis. It took an additional enemy, cancer, to overcome him; however, his spirit was never broken. He never complained nor asked "Why me?" In one short breath, he stepped from his troubles into perfect health, the presence of God and three anxiously awaiting grandparents. He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Marie: fiancee Kelly Rhodes; brothers and sister-in-laws, Gary and Christy Castleberry of Tulsa, Paul and Melinda Castleberry of Carrollton; grandmother Lessie L. Castleberry of Slaton, aunts and uncles Jim Lowry of Nashville, TN., Carol Lowry of Irving, Billy and Jean Castleberry of Lubbock, Bob and Kay Bivens of Midland; six cousins and two proud parents, Harley and Beth Castleberry. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 1996 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 19, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, Dallas. The family suggests memorials to the Texas Neurofibromotosis Foundations, 4514 Travis St., Dallas, TX 75205.
