Mildred Castile Riddell Bishop was born February 22, 1905 in Stithton, Kentucky. She married Crockett Morgan Riddell (Jack) on November 26, 1926. Jack was an undersheriff and was killed on duty in 1933 in Louisville, KY. The two of them had one daughter-Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Riddell. On February 22, 1935, she married James Leslie Bishop. He worked in a casket factory and after the 1937 flood, he moved himself and Betty and Mildred to Kansas City, Kansas. Mildred and James had 3 children-Della Louise, James Leslie, Jr. and Helen Mildred. James killed himself in 1979.
