Reba Aline Caster Ray died on Saturday morning, January 21, 2012 at English Village Manor in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born July 16, 1920 in Altus to Dora and Frazier Caster. She was preceded in death by her first husband Grant Stallings , who passed away in 1975, and her late husband Herbert "Buster" Ray, who passed away in 2010, as well as her parents Dora and Frazier Caster, brother Dillard Caster and sister Willa Lee Goodman. Reba graduated from Altus High School in 1938. Upon graduation, Reba attended Altus Junior College. She then married her high school sweetheart 1st Lt. Grant W. Stallings, a pilot in the Army/Air Force in WWII in 1941. They had one daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) born to them in April 1945. Reba was a homemaker throughout the late 50's to mid 60's, until she joined her sister to assistant teach at Jim Dandy Kindergarten. She taught for many years as a substitute teacher for the Altus Schools. She also worked as the bookkeeper for Gunn Bros. Stamp Store in Altus.

When Mr. Stallings died in 1975, she then began working for Hallmark stores for about 7 years, as their bookkeeper. It was there that she met, and after a long courtship, married Herbert "Buster" Ray of California in 1983. They loved each other until their deaths.In addition to teaching and working in the public, Reba was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Aldonian Club, Literary Club and Bridge Club. She loved Altus, it was always her home. She loved her family and friends and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Stallings) Roth, son-in-law, Myron (Mike) Roth of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Jason Roth of Henderson, Nevada; Jennifer Langberg and Jill Roth, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; two great granddaughters, Michaela Elizabeth Langberg and Gabrielle Hannah Langberg, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; a stepdaughter, Deborah Johnston of Lindsay, Oklahoma as well as three step grandchildren, George Cecil of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Anissa Kingman of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Tisha of Londsay, Oklahoma as well as many other relatives and special friends.She was loved beyond all measure and she will continue to be loved, remembered and above all, greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Altus with Rev. David Player officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. The Reba Ray Family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home.Reba Aline (Caster) [Stallings] Ray is buried at the Altus Cemetery having a marker engraved with the last name of her FIRST husband [Stallings] rather than the last name of her second husband, Ray.
