Dorothy Casten, Quenemo, died Oct 26, 2007. She was 98.
She was born Dec 20, 1908, at Pomona, the daughter of John A and Myra Graves Hensey.
She attended Pomona High School. She married John Casten, of Quenemo, on Feb 6, 1929. He died Sept 28, 2001.
They spent their entire life in the Quenemo area, and farmed after their marriage. She was an active member of the Quenemo United Methodist Church and many other community organizations.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Johanna Roney, Waverly; three sons, John Casten Jr., Lumberport, W Va; James Casten, Plano, Texas; Jeffrey Caste, Quenemo; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct 29, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Quenemo. Burial followed at Quenemo Oak Hill Cemetery.
Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon, was in charge of arrangements.
