Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Ina Mae was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Mansfield to Alvy B. Casstevens and Effie Mae Tipps. She was raised on a farm and grew up knowing hard work. Ina Mae married John Douglas Wynn Jr., a native of Maypearl, on Aug. 14, 1942. They married in San Diego, Calif. After the war, they returned to the Fort Worth and Arlington areas. She worked as a teller at First National Bank until the birth of her only daughter. She and Doug were fortunate to travel to some exciting places with Doug's work, Chevrolet. Many friendships became of these adventures with Chevrolet and later as GM/Chevrolet retirees. As a homemaker, Ina Mae was always active in something, yard, family and school activities, and she was known for her Christmas fruitcakes. She was a dedicated caregiver when elderly family members fell ill. Ina Mae was a very detailed, organized and a strong-willed woman who lived a lifetime with chronic neck and back pain after numerous surgeries. She was very active until her massive stroke in 2005.
Ina Mae was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband in 2001, and son-in-law in 2006.
Our sincerest gratitude to Stonegate Nursing Center staff and Odyssey Hospice for Ina Mae's excellent care and special attention to her needs. Special thanks to Barbara Stewart for watching over Mom while at Stonegate.
Survivors: Only daughter, Shari Wynn McWilliams; only grandchild, Marian Wynn McWilliams; a brother; a sister; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of Woodford neighbors; and many friends.
