Mrs. Annie Ruth Casstevens, 72, of Myers Road passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Yadkin County to the late Clyde and Alice Shore Hanes. Mrs. Casstevens was a beloved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker to her family. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Albert Casstevens, in 1995; a grandson, Russell Glen Roller; and a brother, Thomas Lloyd Hanes. Surviving are her two daughters, Debbie C. Roller of Laurel Hill and Sue (Johnny) Southard of Yadkinville; grandchildren Kellie Southard and Travis Southard; great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Leigh Anne Roller; three brothers, Archie Hanes of Yadkinville, Brady Hanes of Charlotte and Roger Hanes of Tennessee; an aunt, Clydean Shore of Yadkinville, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gentry Family Yadkinville Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Grady Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Casstevens on Myers Road in Yadkinville immediately following the graveside service on Saturday. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Neuro I.C.U. of Forsyth Medical Center for all the loving care given to their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, Brandon Hills Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Casstevens family.
