CONVERSE, LA - Memorial services will be held for David Ray Cassel, 42, at 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2006 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel. Reverend Bill Stowell will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Meriwether Road.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2006.
Mr. Cassel passed away December 6, 2006 in Converse, Louisiana. He was born on August 7, 1964 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Joe W. and Judith Cassel. David was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed life to the fullest, especially spending time outdoors. He never had children, but, raised and influenced many. He will be loved and missed by all who ever knew him.
David is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Bruce Leon Cassel, and his wife Teresa of Ringgold; his sister Stephanie Cassel May, and her husband, John of Shreveport; two step-children, Matt and Jonathan; three nephews, Christopher, Steven and Clayton, and one niece, Heather.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy McMillian, Skipper Hayes, John Gates, Robbie Neel, Mark Henson, and Joe Robbins.
