His first wife was Lydia Ann Deardorff who died in 1867 of Typhoid Fever. The couple had 5 children: Caroline E., Rebecca E., Mary Jane, Emma Catherine and Absalom (Abraham) Lincoln.
The widowed Amos married a second time to Louisa Ann (Lucy) Shull in 1869.
Amos and Lucy had 3 daughters, Cora E, Margaret and Herma Ann, and 3 sons Luther, Amos and Charles.
