Arthur Guy Cashman, 64, Of Oxon Hill Rd.,Oxon, Md., died at the Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington,D.C., Sunday morning. He was formerly of the New Oxford area.
Born In Adams County, Pa., he was a son of the late Harvey H. and Edith E. (Myers) Cashman. His wife, Jean (Crouse) Cashman, died in May 1955. He was employed by the U.S.Goverment for 21 years and retired five years ago.
He was a member of the Oxon Hill Citizens Association of the Pennsylvania Society of Washington, D.C.; The Prince George Charter Organization; The National Council of Senior Citizens Inc.; the Indian Head Highway Area Action Council; and the International Association of Mechanics and Aerospace Workers.
Surviving are three sons: Gene A. Cashman of Dillsburg; George A. Cashman of Etters; John R. Cashman of Mechanicsburg; a daughter: Mrs. Carson Speelman of York Springs; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a step-daughter: Mrs. Jimmy Horn of Manassas, Va. and a step-grandchild.
Other suvivors include these brothers and sisters: David H. Cashman of Winchester, Va.; Mrs, Marian A. Valland of Dillsburg; and Mrs. Melvin M. Sharrer of New Oxford.
Funeral services held with the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford, with the Rev. Kenneth James, pastor of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in The Pines Cemetery, near New Chester.
