As early as 1910, he had dropped the name Michael from his name and went by Aloysius L. Casey.

Same pageRetired superintendant of the Taunton Nursing Home, Aloysius L. Casey, 72 of 1 Upland Road, died Sunday afternoon at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine M. (Wasylow) Casey. He had worked as superintendant at the nursing home for 22 years until his retirement. Prior to that time, he had been a social worker for the city for eight years. A World War Two veteran, he had served with the US Army with the First Battalion, 390th Infantry Regiment. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late James and Alice F. (Doherty) Casey, was educated in city schools and was a lifelong resident of the community. He was also a brother of the late Francis X. Casey, a former councilman and State Representative from Taunton. Survivors include his wife, a son Robert F. of Taunton; a brother, Edmund J. of Taunton; a sister, Mrs. Michael F. (Mary D.) Fitzgerald of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.
