TO REST THURSDAY MORNING
Death summoned Mrs. Ann Casey, who had been ailing for the past year, Thursday morning, December 8th at 10:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Loretta Kuhn.
Mrs. Casey was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Burns, born in Cleveland, Ohio, October 5, 1840. At the age of ten, her parents, moved to Fayette county, Iowa and settled on a farm. She was one of the early settlers of that county. On June 21, 1869, she was united in marriage to Edward Casey. Three children and her husband preceded Mrs. Casey in death. Mrs. Casey was a beautiful character and loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted Catholic and a loving mother and her death will be mourned by countless friends.
Mrs. Casey is survived by four children, H. J. Casey of Dubuque, Mrs. Ed Carlton, Glendale, Calif., Mrs. J. H. Heide, Chicago, Mrs. Loretta Kuhn, Spirit Lake, a brother, Owen Burns, Lawler, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. John Reilly, Mosco, Idaho.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary's church at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Father LeBlond. Burial was made in St. Margaret Cemetery.
