WALNUT GROVE --
Blanche Casey Clingman, 82, Walnut Grove, died at 12 a.m. Tuesday in Mercy Villa Nursing Home from injuries she received in an auto accident on July 6, 1988.
A native of Dade County and a lifelong area resident, Mrs. Clingman was a retired educator, teaching for 47 years. She retired in 1977 from the Willard School District where she taught the sixth-grade. She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School in 1925, a graduate of SMSU, a member of Dade County Retired Teachers Assoc., and a member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church. She was a former member of Women's Missionary Union, a member of Walnut Grove Chapter No. 72 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron and had served as secretary for 25 years. She was also a member of Pleides Chapter of the White Shrine of Springfield and a member of the Walnut Grove Extension Club. She was the widow of Gail Clingman who preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1977. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Madge Casey, Strafford; an uncle, Dewey Casey, Everton; and several cousins.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Chapel, Walnut Grove, with the Rev. Lon Killingsworth officiating. Eastern Star services will be conducted by Walnut Grove Chapter No. 72 following the service. Burial will be in Sinking Creek Cemetery, near Everton.
