Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, family member and friend went to be with our Lord on June 25, 2008 at the age of 84.

Geraldine "Jeri" was born in Dayton, Washington on January 8, 1924 and was married to Merle Arland on August 28, 1946 who went before her, February of 2003.

She is survived by their three children, Gareld and wife, Sherry Arland, of Spokane Valley, WA, Merlene Bognar and fiance', RG Marsden, of Palm Desert, CA, Arlinda and husband, Jim Quillin, of Everett, WA. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren, Mark Arland, Stephanie Arland, Michelle Zorger, Merridee Smith, James Quillin and Arly Jo Quillin; plus her six great-grandchildren, Brendan, Bailee and Brycen Zorger, Trey and Peyton Arland, along with baby Smith, due in December. Other surviving relatives; her brother, Lewis Case; sisters-in-law, Lois Arland, Marlyn Arland and Margaret Arland; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Arland; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeri and her late husband, Merle, resided in Walla Walla, WA, for 33 years then moved to the Seattle/Everett area for the last 30+ years. Jeri spent four years as an Army Nurse at the MaCaw Military Hospital just outside Walla Walla during WWII while Merle served his country in the Army during that time. Mom liked to sing, dance, play the piano and make people smile! She always helped others in their time of need. Our Mother will be missed by all.

God blessed us with the greatest Christian mother, grandmother and great-grandmother …full of life, vitality and love. We will miss you both, Merle and Jeri Arland. Love, your earthly family!

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, June 29, at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., on Monday, June 30, at the Evergreen Cemetery, both located at 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA. Published in The Herald (Everett) from June 28 to June 29, 2008
