Alva, OK. -- A graveside service for Alvena Mae Case, 68, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Alva Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Davidson and Ralph Hoofer will officiate. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel. The casket will remain closed.
She was born June 22, 1935 in Alva, OK. to Ellen McFarlin and George Davidson and died Thurs. Oct. 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK.
She attended Centerview Rural Grade School District No. 41 and graduated from Freedom High School in 1953. She worked for the Frank Marcum family. On Oct. 3, 1953, she married Donald Lee "Bud" Case in Alva, OK. They lived in Alva, Hardtner, KS., Ashland, KS., and Dighton, KS. before returning to Alva, OK. She was a homemaker and worked for many years at Share Convalescent Home and Share Medical Center, first in dietary and then as supervisor of housekeeping and laundry. She retired June 22, 2001.
Surviving are her husband, Bud; two daughters, Linda Pfleider and Romona Shalloup, both of Alva, OK.; two sons, Larry of OK. City, OK. and Ken of Alva, OK.; two brothers, Bill of Borger, TX. and George Jr. of Guymon, OK.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
