BOWERY, Thelma Ercell Cary, 93, of Chesterfield, born March 22, 1920, passed away May 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Thomas "J.T." Bowery; one sister, Ruth Burrows; and four brothers, Fred, Joseph, Albert, and Harry Cary.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Patricia Bowery Baumann and her husband, Alan Walter Baumann; two grandsons, Brett Thomas Baumann and his wife, Susan Mead, and Christopher Alan Baumann and his partner, Valerie Hogan; one great-granddaughter, Morgaine Baumann; one great-grandson, Macsen Baumann; one sister, Louise Cary Childress; and one brother, Danny Cary.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, Va. 23224. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 30, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 6200 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, Va. Interment Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church.
