BUCKLER - Alice Carver, 87, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Friday, April 10, 2009 at her home. She was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Queens Daughters and Jeffco Garden Club. She was a volunteer for Little Sisters of the Poor and the Marion Home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph L. Buckler; and her son, John Buckler. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Buckler; four sons, Michael (Becky), James (Julie), Thomas (Susan) and Steven (Mary) Buckler; eight grandchildren; Kimberly Broderick, Todd, Chris and April Buckler, Michelle Childers, Amy Cash and Molly and Ashley Buckler; and eight great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff and doctors who cared for her at Fresenius Dialysis Care at Suburban Hospital and Hosparus. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne Street, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cabbage Patch Settlement House.
