Clinton Doyle Carver, 66, of Messer Road, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.

Mr. Carver was born July 22, 1945, in Haywood County to the late Hardy Carver and Zola Conard Carver Messer. He grew up in the Cove Creek Community and later resided in New Jersey before returning to Haywood County in 1998 to make his home. Mr. Carver had been employed as an automobile and fork lift mechanic and he owned Clint's Salvage Tires in Buncombe County. He was also manager of The Exit 37 Flea Market, where he had made many friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. Mr. Carver was loved by everyone, but most importantly he was a wonderful Husband, Dad and Pop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel McElroy, Mattie Carver and Betty Henson; two brothers, Bill Carver and Jack Carver.

Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, two daughters, three grandchildren, and his sister.

The funeral service will be held at the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens, Clyde.
