OXFORD< AR-TRESSIE MARIE BELL, 92, of Oxford, daughter of Dave Caruthers and Addie Lou Carter Caruthers was born Sept. 16, 1909, Oxford. She died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at her home in Oxford. She married Borden Bell on Oct. 6, 1951 at Melbourne, Ar. During her working years she was a seamtress in a garment factory in Springfield, Mo., and worked also in a annery in Wenachee, Wa. She attended services at United Methodist Church in Oxford. Survivors include four sisters, including her twin sister Effie Ward of Salem, Ar.; Gertrude Keylon of Melbourne,Vera Ward of Salem, and Roselene Cantrell of Oxford; 20 neices and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Borden in 1984; three brothers Troy, Roy, and Jewell Caruthers; three sisters, Lola Turner, Stella Merell, and Nola Bell Smith; and her father and mother. Services were Friday, Nov 30, 2001 at Cox-Blevins Chapel at 2 P.M. with Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial was in the Morriston Cemetery with the arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
