MRS. CARTWRIGHT DIES ON MAINLAND
Well-known Honolulu Woman Is Dead In San Francisco—Ashes To Be Brought Here

Mrs. Bruce Cartwright Jr., a well known Honolulu woman, died yesterday morning in San Francisco of heart failure following pneumonia. Cablegrams were received last evening by B. L. Marx from his brother in Oakland announcing the death of Mrs. Cartwright. Her ashes will be sent here for burial.

Mrs. Cartwright left for San Francisco about two months ago and after visiting with Mrs. Jack London at Glen Ellen and her sister, Edith B. Williams, in Los Angeles, had just returned to San Francisco.

Mrs. Cartwright was Miss Claire Williams, sister of Mrs. B. L. Marx, Miss Ethelwyn Castle and Miss Edith Williams. She was born in Canada and came here when a child. She was married about eight years ago to Captain Cartwright who is now in the motor corps in Washington. She leaves two young sons survving [sic] her who are now with her sister, Mrs. B. L. Marx.
