MONTICELLO — Vesta M. Boze, 94, Monticello, died at 7:09 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center.
She was born in White County Oct. 16, 1915, to the late Martin and Irma Rouhier Cartmell. Her marriage was to Maynard Boze on Jan. 13, 1934, in Knox. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 2001.
She was a 1932 graduate of Idaville High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. She was a homemaker, worked as a housekeeper and sold Avon. She volunteered at the White County Food Pantry. She also operated a clothing donation center in Monticello.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Phillip Boze; a daughter, Marlene Tyler; sisters, Frieda Brown and Flossie Wilkerson; and brothers, Charles Cartmell and Michael Rouhier.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. A deacons prayer circle will be at 11:15 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Albaum officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview IOOF Cemetery, rural Monticello.
