Beverly C. Affagato, 85, formerly of Scotland Lane, passed away the afternoon of September 24, 2016 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born in Grove City on August 13, 1931, Beverly was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Covert Carter. Preceding her in death in 2009, is her husband, Joseph Affagato who she married on April 16, 1954.

Beverly was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking and working in her garden. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cherished being surrounded by her family who she deeply loved.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Affagato and his wife Donna of New Castle and David Affagato and his wife Debra of Bessemer; her sister, Joanne Mayberry of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Vanessa Bayless and her husband Eric, Heather Gardner and her husband James, Bryan Affagato and his fiancee Amanda Preisel, Corey Affagato, Joshua Affagato, Justin Affagato and Lynn Ferrari and her husband Jack; three great-grandchildren, Haidyn Gardner, Jordan Gardner and Vincent Affagato; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Affagato, and an infant brother.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30PM, conducted by Deacon John Carran of Christ the King Parish.

Burial will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
