Billie Angel, age 82, of Amity, died Thursday, September 8, 2011.

She was born on January 20, 1929 at Waldron, the daughter of Charlie Carter and Cornie Allen Carter. In 1947, she was married to B. H. "Brother" Angel who preceded her in death on February 18, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brady Boyd; and her brother, Bud Carter.

She was a cook for several of the area restaurants for many years and worked in the Amity Public School System as cafeteria supervisor. In her later years, she worked in home care and took care of the elderly.

She is survived by six children and their spouses, fifteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. James Owens officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
