Houston Woman's Mother Dies at Calhoun City
Funeral services for Mrs. Ary Carter Boland, who died at her home in Calhoun City on Wednesday, January 4, after a lengthy illness, were held from the First Baptist Church at Calhoun City on Thursday, January 5. Interment was in the Calhoun City cemetery.
The Rev. George Lee of Calhoun City officiated at the services. Mrs. Boland, who would have celebrated her seventieth birthday on January 9, had made Calhoun county her home most of her life. She and her husband would have had their 53 wedding anniversary also on January 9. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She leaves her husband, Ed Boland, of Calhoun City; six sons, V L, Vernon, William and Ira of Calhoun City; Frank, of Big Creek and Melvin of Columbus; four daughters, Mrs. A G Bounds, Mrs. Tim Bounds and Mrs. K W Easley of Houston, and Mrs. Prentiss Brown of Calhoun City.
