Curry-Carter Marriage, Miss Anna Curry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Adams Curry of Kansas City, will be married to E. Kemper Carter of Kansas City, formerly of St Joseph, this afternoon at 4 o clock In tha Wornall Road Baptist Church, Kansas City. Tha ceremony will be performed by Dr. O. R. Mangum, assisted by the Rev, Jack Jarman, said to be the youngest ordained minister In the United States. The church will be decorated with white candles, ferns and calla lilies massed in urns on white columns. In the center will be an old-fashioned Colonial candle wheel. Before the service, Ray Gafney will slng "Because" and "I Love You Truly" and the finale of the third act of "Lohengrin" will be played. The bride will wear a gown of white satin, made princess style with court train and long pointed sleeves, tha drop yoke being of Alencon lace. She will carry a flower bouquet of yellow orchids and lillies of the valley. Her veil of French tulle will be trimmed with Alencon lace and held by a Juliet cap trimmed with orange blossoms. Miss Wanda Elizabeth Maguire, maid of honor, will wear a gown of turquoise blue taffeta with picture hat and a large bouquet of sprlng violets. The bride's sister, Mrs. Harold Luckey Ward of Pelham Manor, N. Y, who will be matron of honor, will wear a sunset taffeta frock with picture hat and violets, Robert Emmett 0'Brlen will be best man and the ushers will be R. Crosby Kemper, Charles F. Curry, Ernest E. Howard, Harold Luckey Ward of Pelham Manor, D. O. Smart III and Albert R. Waters. One hundred out of town guests are expected. A reception for 400 guests will be held at the Mission Hills Country Club. In tbe receiving line will be the bride and groom, the bride's parents; Miss Margaret Carter of St Joseph, sister of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Waters. The receiving party will be between white columns massed with white lilies. The table will be centered with 4 tiered cake on a mirror, surrounded by green garlands There will be harp music during the reception. Mrs. Curry will wear dawn blue with orchids; Miss Carter, delft blue, with deep purple orchids; Mrs. Waters, black sheer, with white orchids. The bride and groom will take a trip to Honolulu and will be at home after April 1 at the Riviera, For traveling, the bride will wear a suit of black sheer wool, British tan trim, high neck and bell sleeves, with British tan-homburg hat, marten neckpiece and bouquet of yellow orchids. Mr. Carter Is the president of the Carter-Waters Corporation of Kansas City.
