Abraham Carter married Harriet Norris on 22 November 1822.

They left Kentucky going to Decatur Co, IN and sometime after 1853 they came to Clarke Co, IA.

Their children were Casper Carter[married Clara C. Spencer], Adelia Carter[married Dr. George Washington New], Perlina Carter[married Richard R. Tatham], Richardson Carter and Elizabeth Carter.

Their children Casper and Perlina and family members are buried in a row with Abraham and Harriet.
