Edmond B. Carter, age 63, of Niceville, Fla., passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1934, in Birmingham, Ala. He had been a resident of the local area for the past four years, moving here from Lake Worth, Fla. He was Baptist by faith. He will be best known for his loving relationship with his family -- to Edmond, his family always came first.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alberta, of 29 years; sons, John Bemiss of Charleston, S.C., Robert Bemiss of Centerport, N.Y., and Martin Carter and Wayne Carter, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters, Nancy Tufano of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Cathy Borden of Lake Worth, Fla.; and 14 grandchildren.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, Edmond will be memorialized by cremation, and his remains placed in Memory Gardens in Lake Worth at a later date.
