Glenn Irving Carter, of Sedalia, died Jul 1, 2003, in Sedalia.
He was born Jan 31, 1921, in Franks, OK, a son of Edward Terrance and Alice Stone Carter. On Oct 4, 1967, in Sedalia, he was married to Charlotte L Bahner.
Mr Carter was an Army veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, he was an electrical technician for the U.S. Civil Service for 33 years. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Also surviving are four daughters, Glenda Garner of Elk City, OK, Jo Ann Conway of Elk City, OK, Wanda Wilmeth of Oklahoma City and Julie Rupp of Kansas City; a son, Bobby Carter of Shawnee, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Stevens; and a brother, Harold Carter.
Pallbearers were Edward McNally, David Curry, Tim Curry, Walt Mosby, Danny Weller and Jim Duzan. Honorary pallbearers were Bernie Curry, David Hughes, Phillip Carter, Larry Hopkins and Steven Carter.
