Lila Mae Carter, 64, 2104 College, Kansas City, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1981 at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 4601 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, with Rev. Ommie Nelms officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hill, Kansas City.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Chapel, 1800 East Linwood Blvd, Kansas City.
Born April 5, 1917 at Millville she was the daughter of Claude and Leona (Roberts) Davis, and was a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
She was married to James Cater, sr. of Kansas City, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include her mother of Kansas City; four sons, Arthur Carter, Kansas City; Will Carter, Los Angeles; James E. Carter, jr. and Ronnie D. Carter, both of the home; five daughters Mrs. Shirley C. Hill, Mrs. Anita Allen, Mrs. Carolyn Quinzy, Mrs. Cuba Fisher, all of Kansas City, and Pamela Carter, of the home; three brothers, James H. Davis, Richmond; Claude Davis, jr., Independence; Robert Davis, Chicago, Ill.; and a sister, Leta Davis, Kansas City; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
