Millie "Toodles" Sue Carson, 73, of Sherman, passed away at 1:53 PM, Friday, September 7, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. In the days prior to her death, she was surrounded by her entire family and dozens of her friends before slipping peacefully away to Heaven.
She was born January 7, 1939, in Centralia, the daughter of George and Madeline Thomas Schuch-mann. She married Edwin H. Carson, Jr., on July 8, 1961, in New Holland; they were married for 51 beautiful years.
Mrs. Carson worked for Springfield physician Dr. Jagdish Banes for 20 years. She enjoyed crafting, baking and floral designing. She was greatly involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Even in her death, her generous spirit lives on as she gave of herself through organ donation with the Gift of Hope Foundation.
Her survivors include her husband, Ed; three daughters: Cindy (husband, Dave) Arnold of Williamsville, Cathy (husband, Scott) Siders of Sherman, Cheryl (husband, Jon) Tadsen of Pawnee; nine grandchildren: David, Nick and Amber Arnold; Andy, Lindsey, Jessica, and Kaitlyn Siders; Madeline and Brendan Mier (Tadsen); one sister, Joann Morris of Springfield; one brother, Richard (wife, Gusta) Schuchmann of Springfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister, Norma and brother, Jerry.
Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
