Graduate of Gastonia High School, Helen worked during WWII inspecting TNT for ammunition, which made her a member of the Greatest Generation. She also worked for Chavis Textiles and the Orthopedic Hospital.
Helen was a faithful member of First ARP Church for 66 years, working tirelessly as a volunteer. Her special ministry was to send encouraging notes and cards to many family and friends. She loved her church and church friends as well as many who considered her their adopted mother or grandmother.
