Louis G. Carsner, 56, of 2580 Eighth avenue, died Friday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
He was born October 12, 1911, in Marion, and lived here all of his life except for four years in California. He was married November 20, 1928, to Mary Elizabeth McConaughy in Marion. Mr. Carsner was a member of the Christian church. He was a Collins Radio employee.
Survivors are his wife; four sons, Louis Jr., of Vallejo, California, James Clyde of Marion, Stewart Ellis of Cedar Rapids, Stephen Douglas of Marion; a daughter, Phyllis Joan Bassett of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Dallis of Marion, a sister, Lavon McCune of Marion; and his stepmother, Mae Carsner of Marion.
Services: Monday at 10 a.m. at Baxter Memorial chapel by the Rev. Peter M. Morgan. Burial Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel.
