Elizabeth Grace (Betty) Carroll – Ashabranner, went home to the waiting arms of our Heavenly Father, Saturday, April 25, 2015. Betty was born April 22, 1930, to her loving parents William Granville Carroll and Inez Purl Carroll in Houston Texas.
She grew up in Aldine, Texas and graduated from Aldine High School in 1946 at the top of her class.
Betty married Melvin Arnold Ashabranner January 4, 1950 at the Memorial Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
She was the proud mother of two loving sons, Wiley and Glen Ashabranner. Betty was an extraordinary grandmother to her grandchildren, Nathan Ashabranner, Sabrina Ashabranner Hendrickson (husband Lowyn), and Tabitha Ashabranner Turner (husband John), and proud great grandmother of Braelyn, Payne, Grace, Bethany, Grayson and Adam. Betty and her daughter-in law Donna Kay had a wonderful loving relationship of 37 years.
She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord and she lived to serve him by giving to others, being loving, forgiving and humble. Betty touched so many lives in her 85 years and she is loved by all and will be missed.
The Family will be receiving visitors at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland TX, 77581. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX. 77023.
