Samuel Brown Carroll was a farmer from Banks, Pike Co.Ala., married to Caroline I. Andress. He served the Confederacy in the 57th Ala. Infantry, he was wounded & captured at Peachtree Creek, Ga. Died of peunomia in Union Hospital #1 Nashville, Tenn. He was 1 of at least 5 brothers to served in the Civil War. We now know Confederate Soldiers were moved to Mt Olivette not all are marked with a grave marker.
