Funeral services for Claudie Paul "C.P." Carroll, 84, of Huntington will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Adrian Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll was born September 24, 1928 in Angelina County, Texas to Claudie Clay and Verna (Moran) Carroll, and died Friday, August 30, 2013 in a local nursing home. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mr. Carroll was a mechanic at Mustang Tractor for over 20 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his faithful companion, Shannon Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Tony Davidson, Kelly and Charles Garner, Marla and Shane Jansen, Ann and John Jones, Peggy Carroll, and Pat Ricks; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Zoe Carroll, Johnny Carroll, Jimmy Carroll and fiancée Minerva McDaniel, and David and Stephanie Carroll; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Gladys Carroll; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynnise and Charles Rice and Alice and Frankie Heaton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Crocker Carroll; daughter, June Garton; infant son, Paul Anthony Carroll; and sister, Evelyn Morris.
