Deceased Name: Anita H. Stewart

Loving Mother and Grandmother, Anita H. Stewart, age 82, went to be with her heavenly father on November 5, 2004.

She was born on September 10, 1922 in Geary, OK and spent many of her younger years in Seminole, OK. She married Hobert D. Stewart on December 17, 1938, and they moved back to Oklahoma to live in Stillwater.

Anita was retired from Katz Department Store after 26 years as the Misses and Junior fashion coordinator and buyer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, Hobert D. Stewart, her mother and father, Bess and Alfonzo Carroll, and one sister, Doris Morris.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary E. Alexander and Karen S. Yarber of Edmond, OK, and grandchildren, Teressa Alexander and husband, Peter Barnard, of Naperville, IL; David Alexander and wife, Sherry, of Edmond, OK; and Angela Doss of Edmond, OK; one sister, Nona Rikansrud of Julian, California, and many nieces and, nephews. The joys of her life were her six great grandchildren: Joshua Doss, Drew, Caleb, and Jacob Alexander, and Bobby and Alexandra (Ali) Barnard.

Anita was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed sewing beautiful clothes and lovely accessories for the home. Doll clothes, as well as, cradle sets were lovingly made for her family. She was a faithful member of Sunnybrook Christian Church and enjoyed her many friends in the Primetimers class for seniors. She loved people and will be missed by a host of friends and all who knew her.

A special thanks is given to Dr. Tim Grode and staff of Edmond, OK as well, as Red River Hospice for their loving care during her last days. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2004 in Sunnybrook Christian Church, Stillwater, OK. Interment is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
