Mrs. Carroll was born on January 26, 1919 in Wisner, LA & passed from this life on August 22, 2011 at her home. She was devoted to her family & friends. She taught school prior to marriage for 6 years at Wisner Elementary School & for 1 year at Gilbert Elementary School after marriage. She was a member of Gilbert First Baptist Church for 67 years where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a diehard Cubs fan and rarely missed a televised game. She was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Turner; mother Lulu Abell Turner; husband of 49 years, Thomas Earl Carroll; & sister, Alberta Turner Thompson. Survivors include her 3 sons: Johnny Carroll & wife Beverly; Glen Carroll & wife Jean; and Mark Carroll & wife Janice, all of Gilbert. Six grandsons: John Earl Carroll & wife Heather; Tom Carroll & wife Amy; Doug Carroll; Aaron Carroll & wife Elysia; Michael Carroll, and Dillon Carroll, all of Gilbert. Three granddaughters: Amy Robinson & husband Anthony of Norfolk, VA; Sandy Graham & husband Seth of Ruston, LA, & Lindy Carroll of Gilbert and seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Carroll, Gabe Graham, Jackson Carroll, Ty Arnold, Ayden Robinson, Alex Graham, & Ella Rae Carroll. Brother James Turner & wife Faye. Special nieces, Carol Robak, Ginger Seevers, Sue Harryman, JoAnn Kennedy, Jeannie Robertson, & cousin, Patty Allen. Special friends, James & Debbie Harris, Faye Stephens, Shirley Hoggatt & Barbara Walters. She leaves behind a host of friends and extended family that enriched her life in countless ways. She loved her family, her church, & her friends unconditionally & wholeheartedly.
