Daughter or Richard M. Brower and Sarah Ann (Bowen) Brower.
Married to Strawother Carrico on August 21, 1904. Mother of Melva Pearl and Hazel Marie Carrico.
Maggie May Brower, youngest daughter of Richard and Sarah Brower, was born June 12, 1885, and departed this life February 27, 1911, aged 25 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to Strawother Carrico August 21, 1904, and to this union were born two children - Melva Pearl, aged 5 years, and Hazel Marie, aged 3 years. She united with the Indian Prairie Baptist Church at the age of 15. Her life was a model character of Christian faith and love. She was taken ill February 12th, and her illness lasted but two weeks, when death came to relieve her sufferings.
During her declining days she was constantly watched over by her loved ones, rendering to her what help she needed. She was ready and willing to die, although she regretted to leave her dear children and loved ones. She was very patient during her illness, although her suffering was very intense.
The husband has lost a faithful companion, the children a kind and loving mother. She leaves a loving husband, two children, father and mother, two sisters and a host of friends to mourn her departure.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. William F. Russell, assisted by Rev. Williams, and was held at the Indian Prairie Baptist Church Wednesday, March 1st, at 1:30 p.m., and burial was made at the same place.
