CARLSBAD--Jesus H. Carrasco, 89, of Miller Road, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at Columbia Medical Center of Carlsbad.
Mrs. Carrasco will lie in state at 1 p.m. today.
A Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, at the West Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Merrill officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
West Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Feb. 7, 1907, to the late Eulogio and Maria Oliva Hernandez in Redford, Texas. Her family moved to Malaga, when she was very young.
She married Carlos Acosta Carrasco on May 29, 1927, in Malaga. She later lived in the Otis area for a few years.
Mrs. Carrasco was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and the Crucillistas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos and daughter, Lupe Wilson.
Survivors include one son, Edward H. Carrasco of Carlsbad; six daughters, Elvira Rodriquez of Artesia, Alicia Blanco of San Jose, Calif., Estella Carrasco of Lakewood, Calif., and Cecilia Echavarria, Mary Galindo, Enedina Alvarado, all of Carlsbad; two brothers, Federico Hernandez of Carlsbad and Alfredo Hernandez of Lubbock; three sisters, Martina Orona of Hobbs and Guadalupe Gonzales and Josephine Santa Cruz, both of Phoenix; 36 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Robert Echavarria, Jr., Henry Galindo, Raul Rodriquez, Ernie Carrasco, Manuel Alvarado and Mike Galindo Jr.
