Ada Esther Carr, widow of the late Fred Carr, died March 12, at her home in Ashland following a long illness.
She was born November 5, 1862, in the part of Holderness now called Ashland, daughter of Jacob and Eunice Anne (Clement) Peaslee. Her entire life was spent in Ashland. She married Fred Carr of Ashland November 5, 1881. She was a member of St Mark's Episcopal Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at her home with Reverend J. McVickar Haight, rector of St. Mark's Church officiating. Bearers were Charles Marcroft, George Morrill, Leon Cooley, and Guy Horne of Meredith. Her body was entombed at Green Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, J. Claire Peaslee of Plymouth, and a niece, Mrs. Lars A Nelson of Needham, Mass. >The Ashland Citizen, March 23, 1945.
