Kirk, Miriam Carroll, 102, of Ft. Lauderdale, died January 27, 2016. Born in Middle Fork, WV, to Richard and Lou Emma Carroll. She graduated Rosemont College in Philadelphia. A longtime resident of Ft. Lauderdale, she was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Walter F. Kirk, her son Richard C. Kirk and sister, Anne C. O'Keefe. She is survived by her daughters, Anne K. Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra K. Hughes of Newport News, VA and Emmy Lou K. Parks of Natural Bridge, VA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy., Ft. Lauderdale from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 901 NE 2nd St., Ft. Lauderdale at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
