Rites Scheduled For Harold Carr

FREDERICKSBURG (Spl.) -- Funeral services for Harold H. Carr, 69, a veteran radio commentator, will be held at 9:45 am Wednesday at the Schaetter Funeral Chapel and at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Carr died Sunday in a local nursing home after a long illness.

He was with Radio Station KNAF here from 1959 until his retirement in 1970.

Before coming to Fredericksburg, he had been associated with Stations KENS, WOAI and KTSA in San Antonio.

He conducted a popular talk show on many subjects during his stay in San Antonio.

Carr was a native of Flandreau, S.D.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ava [sic] Ann Carr of Fredericksburg; two sisters and a brother.
