Benjamin Frank Carpino, Sr. age 76 of 162 Henderson Road died Sunday afternoon, September 14. 2008. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Carpino was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Vincenza Ferro Carpino. Mr. Carpino was working at Wal-Mart in Roxboro for 9 1/2 years. His main hobby was a convenience, novelty and jewelry store which he really enjoyed working in for 15 years. He served in the US Army for two years in the Korean War. Mr. Carpino was a 15 year member of the Oddfellows, a benevolent group.
Mr. Carpino is survived by his wife, Jocelyn Carrier Carpino; three sons, Robert Carpino of Merced CA, Joseph Carpino of Merced, CA and Benjamin Carpino, Jr. of Colebrook NH; two step sons Brian Beauchemin of Winston-Salem and Jason Beauchemin of Roxboro; one brother Anthony Carpino of Lakewood, NJ, and one sister Lena Macchio of Roslyn Long Island, NY; one precious grandson Dylan of Colebrook, NH.
Mr. Carpino was preceded in death by Johnny Carpino, Frankie Carpino, Kattie Pirro and Contessa Lisiak.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the Brooks & White Chapel.
