Silva M. (Mudd) Anderson, 87, of Avondale passed away Dec. 5, 1998. Preceded in death by her late husband, Theron L. Mudd, 1974. Survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Clifford W. Anderson- son, Malvern L. (Marge) Mudd of Denver- stepdaughter, Sally (Bill) Anderson of Penrose- brother, Ted (Eunice) Carpenter of Pueblo- sisters-in-law, Mildred Carpenter of Tucson, Ariz., and Betty Weber- brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene (Muggy) Anderson, all of Pueblo- grandchildren, Garret (Heather) Mudd of Minneapolis, Minn., and Grant (Becky) Mudd of Denver- step grandson, Robin Roderick of Pueblo- and cousins, nieces and nephews. Silva was a graduate of Centennial High School, Class of 1930 and had long been recognized as the creator of the original Centennial bulldog. She was a lifelong member of the Avondale United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Organization. She was very active in the Avondale community, supervising the school lunch program, among other activities. Public visitation, 2 to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8. Family to greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday during visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, T.G. McCarthy Rose Chapel, with interment to follow, Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in memory of Silva M. Anderson to the Avondale United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
