BURLINGTON, VT - Polly Carpenter Beebe Bove, 87, of Burlington, died on Christmas Eve after a brief illness.
Born to Forrest W. Carpenter and Mary Ellen Farrand on March 28, 1922, she grew up on the family farm in Charlotte. Graduating from the Mary Fletcher School of Nursing in 1943, she practiced as a registered nurse in the Burlington area from 1962 to 1983. She was a Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont, and a long time member of the Hospice of the Champlain Valley.
She is survived by four children born of her marriage to Wilson H. Beebe: Paula Nannicelli and her husband Thomas of Walpole, Mass.; Linda Potter; Janice Crane and her husband Allen of St. Albans; Wilson H. Beebe Jr. and his wife Anne Torre of Red Bank, N.J. Surviving her also are her sister, Mary C. Robinson of San Jose, Calif., and brother Homer H. Carpenter of Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren: Allison I. Shea, Theodore Nannicelli and his wife Aliza, Brian Crane and his fiancÚ Heidi, Brooks Crane and his fiancÚ Michelle, Christine Nannicelli, Sarah A. Beebe, Laura T. Beebe and Matthew Nannicelli; and several loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers Forrest W. Carpenter of Shelburne Falls, and John Carpenter.
Interment of her cremated remains in the St. James Memorial Garden.
