Inez Carpenter Ames – age 95 passed away Friday January 1, 2010 in League City, Texas. Inez was born in Bannister, Texas August 2, 1914 the daughter of the late Sam Wood and Gertrude Windsor Wood. She worked for many years in food service. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a sister Beatrice Blaylock. She leaves her five children, William Ames and his wife Shirley of Huntsville, Texas, John Ames and his wife Angie of Seabrook, Texas, Robert Ames and his wife Carolyn of Columbine, CO., Pauline Lyons and her husband Joe of Florida, and Joyce Ames of Orange, Texas. In addition she leaves numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held two o'clock in the afternoon Monday January 4, 2010 in Guedry Cemetery.
