Mary E. Best, was born May 24, 1861 and died Jan. 7, 1931, was buried at Carpenter's Camp Ground Jan. 8, 1931 by the side of her husband who died a few years ago.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Thames and Rev. Sanders.
The following children are left to mourn the loss of a true mother: Warren, Coy, Ralph, Otto, Mrs. lnez Morton and Mrs. John Wilson, all of Carpenter's Camp Ground and Mrs. Etta Walker of Corona, Calif., Mrs. George Feezell of Harriman and Mrs. Roy White of Maryville, Rt. 6. Also 39 grand children and 12 great grand children.
Mrs. Best was born and reared an spent her entire life in a few miles Carpenter's Camp Ground church of which she was a member.
We can truthfully say, "A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our heart, which never can be filled." Rest on dear mother from all troubles. It will only be a short time till we hope to meet you again on the other side, where God will wipe tears from our eyes and these will be no more sad good byes.
