Shirley J. Blanken 76, of Bean Station, loving mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016. She was saved at Spruce Pine Baptist Church around 12 years old. She has been a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church for 60 years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Thelma Carpenter and brother, Glen Doyle Carpenter.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the West Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 also at the funeral home with Reverends Gary Sampson, Larry McAnally and Grant Vaughn officiating. Singers will be the Welch Family. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
