Mrs. Carol Ann Anderson, age 71, went to be with her Lord & Savior early Wednesday morning, January 5, 2011 from Spectrum Health - Gerber Memorial in Fremont. She was born on June 7, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Richard & Beverly (McCann) Carpenter. She had been employed by the housekeeping Department of Gerber Products Corporate Office in Fremont for 18 years until her retirement in 1990. Carol was an active member of Wolf Lake Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, and where she had been involved with the Ladies Mission. She had been married to Wayne Eldred & Edgar J. Anderson and they both preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Eldred, and by her grandson, Richard Wayne Eldred II. Survivors include 2 daughters: Beverly (Jeff) Wright of Fremont, Krithana (Steve) Matthews of Fremont; 3 grandchildren: Keri (Todd) Andrews, Tiffany Miles, & Daniel Eldred; 1 great granddaughter, Ally Andrews; her step-father, Charles Paul of Battle Creek, MI.; several cousins & their families; and by her best friend, Vonnie Raugh of Fremont and her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Wolf Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Burt Wachter officiating. Interment will be at Oakgrove Cemetery in Montague. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 5-7:30 PM on Friday, and at the church from 10-11 AM on Saturday. Suggested Memorials: Bellwether Harbor in Fremont, or Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
