Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel in Brookhaven for Russell Curtis Carpenter, 56, of Wesson, who passed away on April 3 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Burial was at Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. Riverwood Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Russell Curtis Carpenter, 56, of Wesson, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Services were held Tuesday, April 5, from Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment in Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter was born Dec. 25, 1954 to Charles Curtis Carpenter and Lottie Jane Thedford Neal.

He was a Foreign Alliance Representative for Helmrich & Payne International Drilling and a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include: wife, Gloria "Goldie" McFall Carpenter; son, Curt Carpenter; daughters, Kimberly Carpenter and Chasity Carpenter; brother, Greg Carpenter; (sister, Patricia Lynn Carpenter Smith Allen); and grandchildren, Brayden Palmer, Lauren Palmer, Dylan Fort, Bryce Carpenter and Keegen Carpenter.
