Everard Lorne "Ed" Carpenter
Birth: Jun. 15, 1890
Death: Apr. 30, 1963

Professional Hockey Player. Carpenter was born on June 15, 1890, in Hartford, Michigan. At 6'0" and 170lbs he played the position of Defense for teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). He began playing hockey professionally in 1909 in and later went onto play for the Toronto Blueshirts in 1917, and the Seattle Metropolitans in 1917, who he won the Stanley Cup with. He also played for the Quebec Bulldogs from 1919 to 1920, Hamilton Tigers from 1920 to 1921, and in 1944 he coached the Port Arthur Bearcats to win the Allan Cup. He at one time also worked for the Canadian National Railway for 43 years.  (bio by: K)
